Welcome to Bowdon, Georgia, the friendly city. We hope you will enjoy your visit and come back anytime!
Home is where the heart is…a place where shop keepers know your name and you know most phone numbers without checking, where Friday night football is a standing appointment with friends old and new, where gourmet meals are home-cooked and usually served in a covered dish, and where locking your keys in the car is never a problem because someone always offers a ride.
Everyone turns out for the homecoming parade and you can too. Welcome home. Welcome to Bowdon, the friendly city.
Bowdon has a long, distinguished history. It is near the geographic center of the last land in Georgia held by the Creek Nation and ceded to the United States on November 15, 1827.
