Founders Day & Street Dance ~ Huge Success!

Bowdon celebrated Founders Day on August 6 & 7.

On Saturday morning the streets were bustling with activities from the annual Founders Day 1 mile walk & 5K run, to a parade, good singing, eating tasty food, shopping downtown businesses and craft vendors set up in Heritage Park and finding a cool spot to sit a spell and watch the children play. The kids were doing pony rides, climbing rock walls, playing games, and admiring all of the creative things that everyone brought to the Friendly City.

On Saturday night there was a street dance in the parking lot of Copeland Hall. Thousands were in attendance for this great event and everybody had a wonderful time listening to swinging music, fellowship with one another, tasty food & drinks and to top it all off spectacular fireworks.
